Feeling like I never explore Hong Kong, I wrangled up John, Grace, Santiago, Keat, and Angelica to go see the Big Buddha. We took the MTR for about an hour or so to a station whose name I now forget (I went several weeks ago now on February 11th). From there, we had to take cable cars and were forced to get a beautiful view of the city.
The bottom of the cable car was glass:We could've taken an intense several hour hike rather than go on the cable cars. We saw many people struggling on the way, so we were pretty pleased with our decision to be lazy.
There was a cute little town/shop area where we could already see the Big guy in the distance:
There were a ton of statues and a Buddhist temple to see before we climbed up the stairs to see the Big Buddha.
I've never seen so much incense until I came to Asia.
The architecture was beautiful, as usual:
After we explored the temple, we headed over for the big climb.
I feel like the adjective 'big' doesn't accurately describe the actual gargantuan-ness of the Buddha:These statues surrounded the guy:
The view from the top of the stairs:

i'm not afraid of heights, but the cable car floor would scare me.
